We want you to have an amazing experience at the Thunder Over Louisiana Air Show Presented by Kia of Lake Charles on August 29-30, 2026, so we put together this one-page guide with some key information to help you plan your day.

Weapons of any kind (Knives, guns, explosives, tasers, stun guns, etc.)
Concealed Carry Weapons
Coolers (this includes anything designed to insulate, such as hard-sided coolers, soft-sided coolers, backpack coolers, etc.) The ONLY exception is for medicine, which must be in a small soft sided cooler.
Food (unless medically necessary)
Drinks (sealed water bottles, soft drinks, alcohol, etc.)
Glass water bottles
Pets (do not leave pets in your vehicle)
Skateboards, skates, bicycles, Heelys, scooters (unless needed to aid mobility)
Portable awnings/tents/large umbrellas/golf umbrellas/canopies (anything that would need stakes to secure, beach umbrellas, umbrellas that require assembly, and any that are not a personal umbrella)
Cooking equipment
Smoking/vaping (includes cigarettes, lighters, e-cigarettes, cigars, vapes, marijuana, etc.)

The schedule is subject to change without notice.
The show will not be publishing the performer schedule.
All performers will fly both days, including the U.S. Navy Blue Angels.
Parking and Directions
Parking Passes
All vehicles parking in the Air Show lots must have a parking pass.
There will be two parking lots.
Remote Parking – Red Lot – Passes for this lot will be included with the purchase of tickets to General Admission, Premium Box Seats, Warhawk Club, and Aces Club. There will be a shuttle running to and from the show site to transport guests.
Premium Parking – Green Lot – Passes for this lot are included with the purchase of a Chennault Club membership. Guests who do not wish to park in the Remote Parking lot, may purchase a parking pass to this lot separately. Premium parking passes can be purchased on our tickets page.
Premium Parking passes will NOT be sold at the gate.
Due to limited parking space, once all parking passes are reserved, no additional passes will be made available.

ADA/Handicap Parking
Both the Remote and Premium parking lots will have ADA spots located at the front.
They will be given out on a first-come, first-parking bases.
There are NO ADA-specific parking passes.
Guests wishing to park in these spots, will need their remote or premium parking pass, and a handicapped placard or license plate.
Additional Parking Notes
If you are planning on bringing an RV, or oversized vehicle, you must park in the Remote Parking Lot.
No loitering, tailgating, or overnight camping in any of the lots.
There will be no golf carts running between the parking lots and the gates.
If you go to the wrong lot, you will either be turned around or parked in that lot.
*There will be golf carts running inside the gates for those needing assistance.
Tips for a Successful Parking Experience
Before the Show
Arrive early to try to avoid some of the anticipated mid-morning traffic.
Watch for parking signs as you get closer to the airport.
Have your parking pass ready for volunteers to scan.
After the Show
Hang around after the last performer to avoid departing traffic.
Follow the directions of the volunteers and public safety officials.
Remote/Red Parking Lots (A, B, & C)
The remote/red parking lots are ONLY accessible off the I-210 Legion Street Exit.
When exiting the highway, you will turn onto Senator J Bennett Johnson Ave., and then make a right onto Merganser St.
ALL OTHER ACCESS ROADS WILL BE CLOSED OFF.
There will be two entry lines. DO NOT switch lanes and have your parking pass ready to show at the gate. This will ensure traffic moves quickly and efficiently into the parking lot. Lake Charles Police Officers will be directing traffic into each parking lot. Please follow their directions.

IMPORTANT ITEMS TO NOTE ONCE YOU ARRIVE
There are THREE red lots – A, B, & C
Lake Charles Police will direct you to one of those lots when you arrive.
We recommend making a note of which lot you are in on your phone, and/or marking a pin on your map app.
The shuttles will pick up and drop off in each lot. Please look for the designated stop in the lot. There is NO central shuttle stop between the lots.
Premium Parking - Green Lot
This parking lot is ONLY accessible from Mallard Cove Road, which is accessed via E. Prien Lake Road. The best main roadways to get to E. Prien Lake Road are Highway 397 or I-14.
General directions from I-14
From I-14, turn on to Corbina Road.
Once on Corbina Road, you’ll take the second exit at the roundabout to continue on Corbina Road.
Corbina Road dead ends into E. Prien Lake Road. Make a right onto E. Prien Lake Road, and follow signs for the Air Show.
General directions LA Highway 397
Once on Highway 397, watch for signs for E. Prien Lake Road, as it intersects Highway 397.
If you miss E. Prien Lake Road, you can turn onto E. McNeese St., and take the first exit at the round about for Corbina Road. Corbina Road dead ends into E. Prien Lake Road. At that intersection, make a right onto E. Prien Lake Road and follow signs for the Air Show.

VIP, Volunteers, Chalets, Exhibitors, and Vendors Parking - Orange Lot
This parking lot is ONLY accessible from Mallard Cove Road, which is accessed via E. Prien Lake Road. The best main roadways to get to E. Prien Lake Road are Highway 397 or I-14.

Accessibility
Parking
You will need a Remote or Premium parking pass, as well as a handicap placard or license plate. There is no parking pass specifically for handicap parking.
There will be a limited number of handicapped parking spaces close to the entry gate. These spaces are on a hard surface, and they will be first come, first park with a general admission parking pass and a handicap placard or license plate.
If you need handicap parking, we highly recommend arriving early. Traffic and demand will increase throughout the morning. When you arrive, please alert parking attendants, show them your placard and general parking pass, and they will provide further instructions.
Show Grounds
Most of the air show is on a hard surface. There are some grassy areas around the edge, but it is easily avoidable and should not impede your ability to maneuver around the show to see the ground displays and exhibits.
Bathrooms
There will be several handicap accessible portable bathrooms located around show grounds. In addition, if you are in a premium seating area, there will be handicap accessible portable bathrooms in those areas as well.
Mobility Aids
We will not have the option to rent scooters, wheelchairs and other mobility aids. However, mobility aids are welcome into the show. If you are in general admission, we encourage you to bring in your own chairs, as seating in general admission is not provided.
Premium Seating
All of our premium seating areas are easily accessible and are on hard surfaces. If you need additional assistance while in your seating area, please see the volunteers, who will be located throughout the premium seating areas.
Service Animals
Per ADA Guidelines, recognized service animals are permitted. However, we would advise you to take strong consideration before bringing a service animal to the event. Jet aircraft can be very loud, the airport ramp surface can get very hot on the paws and animals must be under control at all times.
Shade
Shade is limited at the show. If you cannot be in the sun for long periods, we recommend one of our premium seating areas, or bringing a small hand-held umbrella. Pop-up tents are not permitted.
Hearing Protection
If you or anyone in your group is sensitive to loud sounds, we recommend bringing your own ear protection. While some vendors may sell hearing protection, we cannot guarantee supplies will last.
